In official alignment with UK based charity The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) comes the brand new Christmas single by Essex based Ska/Indie Duo Death of Guitar Pop and star of The Inbetweeners James Buckley, ‘Feeling Like A Right James Blunt At Christmas’. Along with the hilarious accompanying music video, spoofing the classic Christmas videos of the past, their mission is one that aims to raise mental health awareness and funds for CALM throughout the Christmas period this year.

After many conversations discussing the impact that mental health issues, and sadly suicide, have had upon each of their lives the three friends conjured up the idea of a Christmas single aiming to highlight these topics. The video itself is an audacious and humorous take on the ‘classic’ Christmas video with a powerful and heartfelt message at its core. Managing to perfectly encapsulate the all too familiar trope of a young man hiding his feelings behind an outward showing of strength and humour both the song, and the video, are sure to raise a smile and strike a chord simultaneously. All artist profits from the single will go to CALM.

Simon Gunning, CEO of the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), said: "We're thrilled that Death of Guitar Pop and James Buckley have chosen to support CALM with this single. We know the festive period can be a difficult time for many, and so we hope to share a message of positivity and support with this project. What's more, the funds raised will contribute towards the operation of CALM's life-saving helpline and webchat, which are open every day from 5pm-midnight."

James Buckley is a Bafta award winning actor best known as star of the hit television series The Inbetweeners. Death of Guitar Pop are a DIY Ska/Indie duo (Silky & Top Kat) from Essex. Since their first single ‘Rickety Old Train’ they have built a sizeable online presence and have received props from some of the heavyweights of the scene including, Suggs, Pauline Black and Dave Wakeling. Their collaboration with Neville Staple of The Specials, ‘Suburban Ska Club’, further reinforced their impact upon the scene. Not only have their die hard army of supporters raised a whopping £18,000.00 in crowd funding to help them fund both their self-released albums “69 Candy Street” & “In Over Our Heads”  - they have also pioneered an innovative fan subscription service the ‘Death of Guitar Pop Fan Club’ which has received a great response from their loyal fanbase. Their live tour has included sold out shows at prestigious London venue’s Dingwalls, Oslo Hackney and The Macbeth (as well as sell out club shows around the UK) & prestigious festival slots at Boomtown Fair, Leeds Ska & Mod Fest, Stone Valley North & South to name but a few. These shows, in addition to slots supporting Bad Manners, The Dualers & Neville Staple, have seen their reputation on the live circuit sky rocket.
